Completing Sentence

 1. So that/ In order that ( যাতে করে) 

Structure : Sub + verb +... + so that / in order that + ১ম subject + can/may,could/might + v1 + বাকি অংশ ( যদি থাকে)

For Example :

a) The boy reads More so that he can make a good result.

2. Lest=পাছে ভয় হয় না যাতে 

Structure :প্রথম থেকে Lest পর্যন্ত বসে + ১ম Subject + should/might + সংগতিপূর্ণ v1+বাকি অংশ ( যদি থাকে)। 

For example :

a)Read diligently lest you should fail in the exam.

3.It is time /It is high  time,এদের ক্ষেত্রে Subject  থাকলে Past Indefinite Tense এ লিখতে হয়।তবে এদের পরে Subject না থাকলে To infinitive ( to + v1) বসে। 

For example :

a)It is high time we changed our eating habits. 

b)Is is high time for us to attack the enemy.

4. Would you mind এর পরে ( V+ ing) বসে + বাকি অংশ। 

For example :

a) Would you mind taking a cup of tea.

5.No sooner Had... than.

 scarcely had.... when.

Hardly had... when.

তে না তেই। 

No sooner Had / scarcely had/Hardly had + Subject + V3 + বাকি অংশ ( যদি থাকে) + than/when + past indefinite tense.

For example :

a)Scarcely had we reached the school when the examination began.

6.As son as ( তে না তেই)

As son as এর ক্ষেত্রে দুইটি clause থাকে। 

১ম  clause + কমা+ ২য় clause.

দুইটি clause ই Past indefinite tense এ থাকে। 

For example :

a) As son as we reached the station, the train left the station.

7. Wish/fancy ( ইচ্ছা হয়), as if, as though ( যেন)  এদের ক্ষেত্রে Be verb থাকলে were হয়

* Wish / fancy এর ক্ষেত্রে মূল verb থাকলে Past indefinite tense হয়।

* present indefinite + as if, as though + past indefinite. 

* past indefinite + as if, as though + Past Parfect.

For example :

a)The lady spoke as if she known every thing.

8.So....that

এতই যে পারে না/ পারি নাই। 

এক্ষেত্রে Incomplete বাক্যটিকেso এর Adj/adverb থাকলে তার পরে that বসে + Subject +can not/ could not + v1+ বাকি অংশ ( যদি থাকে) 

For example :

a)The boy was so weak that he can not walk.

9. Too...to

এতই যে পারে না / পারে নাই

Structure : Subject + verb + too+ adj / adverb + to + সংগতিপূর্ণ v+ বাকি অংশ ( যদি থাকে) 

For example : 

a) He is too dishonest to speak the truth .

10. By + Gerund যুক্ত Incomplete  বাক্যকে complete  করতে  Principlal clause এর শুরুতে Subject + verb + বাকি অংশ ( যদি থাকে)  

For example :

a) Without reading More we can larn more .

11. Without  + Gerund যুক্ত Incomplete  বাক্যকে complete  করতে  Principlal clause এর শুরুতে Subject + verb + বাকি অংশ ( যদি থাকে)  

For example :

a) Without reading More we can not pass.

‌‌‌‌♦♦ If = Providing that  = Provided = Provided that in case = যদি unless = If + not ( যদি না) 

12. ( i.)  If + Present indefinite + Future indefinite + Sub + Shall / will + v1 + extension  { তবে shall / will এর পরিবর্তে may / can / must / have to / has to  বসতে পারে }

For example : 

a) If it rains,  we will not go.  

b) We can prosper in life if we work hard. 

( ii) If + Past indefinite + Past conditional. 

Structure : Sub + would / could / might + v1  + ex (যদি থাকে)

For example : 

a) If he came, l would go. 

(iii)  If Past + Perfect + Perfect conditional

Structure : Sub + would have / could have / might have + v3 + ex. (যদি থাকে) 

For example : 

a) If I had seen you before, l would have invited you. 

b)  Had he wanted,  l would have helped him.

13. Would that দ্বারা অসম্ভব ইচ্ছা, আকাঙ্খা প্রকাশ করা হয়। তাই - 

i)Would that + Sub + could + v1 + ex. (যদি থাকে)   অথবা   

ii) would that +Sub + were + বাকি অংশ 

** If এর অংশে Tense ( Present indefinite / Past indefinite / Past Perfect tense)  থাকে। 

14. Till =  যতক্ষণ পর্যন্ত ৷ 

Until = যতক্ষন না পর্যন্ত ৷ 

 Until / Till এর পরের অংশটি Affirmative হয় ৷ 

** Till / Until + Sub + verb + বাকি অংশ (যদি থাকে) 

15. As long as (যতক্ষণ পর্যন্ত) 

Structure : As long as + Sub + verb + বাকি অংশ ( যদি থাকে)৷
